This wonderful place has been left to ruin. It is such a shame that a building like this has been left in this way. This building look like it should be in a Hammer House Horror film. It was still light when we arrived and me, Kath and Steve walked around the grounds. It is such a beautiful place but it does seem to take on a new life when darkness falls. Around 9pm, we walked to the Morgue. This building is not far from the Chapel. Both buildings have been ruined by vandals. I cannot understand why. It upsets me to see the old hospital in such a way. I didn’t feel anything here but Steve felt as thought someone was behind him while we stood outside. Inside the morgue, it was very quiet and I never feel as though there maybe any spirits here because at the end of the day, why would you come back to this area when you could possibly travel anywhere you want. We left here and walked around until we found a way in. Every corridor has so many rooms leading off them, it is easy to get lost. Paint is flaking off the walls, ceilings have come down and floors have collapsed. It all adds up to a very spooky feeling and your imagination can run away

with you . As we wlaked through the ruined corridors we found some graphiti pointing to the Projections room. kath and i climbed the metal ladder which led up to this area, but again the place had been stripped. We then entered the Ballroom and conducted some EVP work. It is such a shame to see this room in such a state. This room would have been full of happiness and laughter. Sections of the floor are missing, moulded plaster work was has beenremoved, the stage had been burnt but at least the glitter ball was still in place (only because it is too high to reach). As darkness had fall ee moved to the 2nd floor of another building Now the building was taking on a very different feeling. Steve saw a faint grey shadow of a figure. I saw a tall dark shadow in the same area but I couldn’t tell if it was a figure or not. Were we seeing the same thing? I followed this shape but didn’t find anything. Nothing showed on photos or Kaths video. It was at this point Steve started to feel sick. We moved back downstairs and entered Ward 5 to 10. I moved forward to the far end of the room as Kath and Steve started to ask out. As they were asking out, they heard a female voice saying “YES”. I didn’t hear a thing but Steve saw a small light. Kath

went cold around her arms and they both heard another noise. Was the weather starting to play its part as it was starting to go colder? There were bats flying around and this may explain the noise. By 10.30pm, we were back outside in the courtyard. I heard a woman’s voice, Kath heard a whistle and both Kath and Steve heard a male voice. We found out later that there were another group in the area but I didn’t think they made it into the building as far as we did and I don’t feel the voices were them. So who made these voices?
We finished about 11.30pm and after talking to another group and to some locals, we found out some more interesting stories and information. This is still one of my most favourite places to investigate. It is such a great place and full of charater. I would like to buy this place and restore it back to its former glory.
